Tehran: Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has arrived in Tehran to attend the funeral ceremony of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. Iran's Interior Minister, Eskandar Momeni, welcomed Naqvi in Tehran on Friday. Upon his arrival, Naqvi expressed, 'Iran is our second home, and I have come to Tehran to attend the funeral ceremony of the Leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution'.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Naqvi detailed that another delegation, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, will also travel to Iran to participate in the ceremony. Iran has commenced the first stage of funeral ceremonies for the martyred leader, with foreign dignitaries and religious figures gathering to pay their respects at Tehran's Grand Mosalla on Friday.

The ceremonies will continue through the weekend, with the body lying in state at the Grand Mosalla on Saturday and Sunday. A funeral procession is scheduled to move through Tehran on Monday. Subsequent rites are planned in the holy city of Qom, followed by commemorations in Baghdad, Karbala, and Najaf in Iraq, with the final burial set for July 9 in Mashhad.
