Islamabad: The chairman of Pakistan's Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs has expressed Islamabad's support for Tehran's diplomatic efforts to confront Israeli threats and enhance regional stability. In an exclusive interview, Irfan Siddiqui highlighted the significance of Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi's visit to Pakistan, describing it as a step towards strengthening friendly ties between the two nations. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi arrived in Pakistan on Monday evening to engage with top Pakistani officials. The discussions are centered on bilateral relations and strategies to counter the threats posed by the Zionist regime, aiming to reduce regional tensions. Siddiqui emphasized that Araghchi's visit represents a new phase in the traditional relations and mutual understanding between Pakistan and Iran, focusing on expanding cooperation to promote peace and stability in the region. Siddiqui lauded Iran's diplomatic approach for regional peace, particularly in the context of confronting Israeli threats, stating Pakistan's strong support for its neighbor. The Pakistani senator criticized Israel's actions, especially with the support of the United States and other Western nations, which he claimed led to attacks on Iran and continued crimes against humanity in Gaza and Lebanon. He also condemned the United States' unilateral sanctions against Iran, labeling them as illegal, and called for the sustainable development of bilateral trade relations between Islamabad and Tehran.
