Tehran: Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, Pakistan's newly appointed ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran, has submitted a copy of his credentials to Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. At the beginning of his diplomatic mission in Tehran, Siddiqui met with Araghchi on Monday to present the letter and discuss bilateral matters.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Siddiqui is a senior diplomat from Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with experience in the United Nations, human rights, national security, and multilateral cooperation. He was appointed as Islamabad's new ambassador to Iran in 2026.
