Islamabad: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in continuation of his official meetings in Islamabad, discussing the latest developments related to bilateral relations and regional issues. The Prime Minister of Pakistan welcomed the visit of Iran's foreign minister and emphasized the importance of deep relations between Pakistan and Iran. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pakistan's Prime Minister condemned the aggression of the Zionist regime against Iran and emphasized supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He also expressed concern about the situation in the Middle East, caused by Israel's war campaigns and genocide against the Palestinians. During the meeting, Sharif conveyed his greetings to Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He emphasized Pakistan's desire to strengthen relations with Iran through regular high-level exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The discussions covered a wide range of issues concerning Iran and Pakistan, including developments in the Middle East and the continuation of the Zionist regime's activities in Gaza and Lebanon. Araghchi's arrival in Pakistan on Monday evening was aimed at meeting with top Pakistani officials to discuss bilateral relations and strategies to address threats posed by the Zionist regime and reduce regional tensions.
