Parliament Speaker Advises Trump Against Decisions Based on Incorrect Information

Tehran: Parliament Speaker Mohamad Bagher Ghalibaf has advised US President Donald Trump not to make wrong decisions based on incorrect information. Speaking in a meeting with economic activists, Ghalibaf referred to the US president's speech to Congress about the situation in the country and reiterated that Iran has not been, is not, and will never be seeking nuclear weapons.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the US president directly interfered in the recent unrest in Iran and publicly assured rioters that help was on its way. US officials claim that 32,000 people were killed in the recent unrest in Iran, and this false statement was repeated by the US president in Congress, Ghalibaf added.

Ghalibaf described the Israeli regime as the epitome of terrorism. He mentioned that since the 1953 coup d'©tat, the US has always sought in some way to subdue the Iranian nation and pursue its interests. He stressed that all options are on the table regarding the United States, including dignified diplomacy and a regret-inducing response.

"If you choose the diplomatic table where Iranian dignity and mutual interests are respected, we will also be at that table, just as tomorrow we have the third round of negotiations," he stated.
