Tehran: Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf has extended his congratulations to the newly appointed military commanders while reaffirming the Parliament’s steadfast support for the Iranian Armed Forces. Qalibaf made this commitment in a message where he also paid tribute to senior military officials who were assassinated, attributing their deaths to the Israeli regime.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Qalibaf highlighted the dedication and strategic acumen of these martyrs, describing them as tireless servants of the nation. He emphasized that the Parliament, as a pivotal institution, sees it as its duty to provide comprehensive legal cooperation and support to the Armed Forces, especially in the current critical circumstances.
In a recent decree, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei appointed Major General Seyyed Abdulrahim Mousavi as the new Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces. The Leader also designated Major General Mohammad Pakpour as the chief commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (I.R.G.C.) and Major General Ali Shademani as the commander of the Khatam al-Anbia Headquarters.
Additionally, Ayatollah Khamenei appointed Major General Amir Hatami as the chief commander of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran and named Majid Mousavi as the new commander of the Aerospace Force of the I.R.G.C.
