Participation in Farewell to Martyred Leader Reflects Loyalty: al-Nakhalah

Tehran: Palestinian Islamic Jihad Secretary-General Ziad al-Nakhalah says Palestinian resistance fighters' participation in the farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader reflects their loyalty to his memory, reaffirming that Iran's support for the Palestinian resistance will continue until victory is achieved.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, al-Nakhalah, speaking on Sunday in remarks carried by Al-Manar, emphasized, "The mujahideen of Palestine are participating in the farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader out of loyalty to his pure soul and in fulfillment of their pledge." He expressed confidence that the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for Palestine would persist until their ultimate victory.

On Saturday and Sunday, vast crowds of Iranians gathered for the start of the public funeral ceremonies for Ayatollah Khamenei, who was assassinated at the beginning of the unprovoked US-Israeli war against Iran on February 28. Al-Nakhalah described Imam Khamenei as "a distinguished and beloved leader who loved Palestine, and the Palestinians also loved him."

He stressed that the resistance would continue, asserting that the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei "will be a victory for Muslims and the mujahideen in Palestine and across the entire Islamic Ummah." The Palestinian Islamic Jihad chief further noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran and its leadership had always supported the Palestinian people and would continue to do so.

He added that the Islamic Revolution's support for Palestine follows the path of Imam Khomeini and Imam Khamenei, and, God willing, will continue until victory is achieved. Earlier, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad stated that the martyrdom of the Leader reflected the unity of struggle and destiny in confronting the common enemy.
