Bushehr: Deputy commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Ali Fadavi has stated that the Persian Gulf has been a site of repeated U.S. defeats since the 1980s. Fadavi made these remarks during a ceremony held in Bushehr, located in southern Iran, highlighting the region's historical military significance.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Fadavi emphasized that the United States first experienced a military setback in the Persian Gulf during the 1980s, crediting the event to the strategic efforts of local commanders. Over the past four decades, he noted, the failures of adversaries of the Revolution have been evident, with American officials themselves acknowledging these setbacks.

Fadavi called upon American officials to educate their younger generation about the history of the Persian Gulf, underscoring its status as a site of American defeats with no victories over the Resistance Front. He attributed these outcomes to the enduring faith and resilience of a nation committed to the principles of the Islamic Revolution for more than forty years.

In recent developments, U.S. President Donald Trump had proposed the controversial idea of renaming the Persian Gulf. This announcement was reportedly intended to occur during his state visit to Saudi Arabia but was ultimately not pursued.
