Turkmenbashi:President Masoud Pezeshkian underscores the importance of enhancing coordination and maintaining continuous communication between Iran and Armenia to foster mutual trust and strengthen bilateral relations.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan engaged in discussions on the sidelines of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) summit and the Caspian Sea environmental summit in Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan.
During their meeting, Pezeshkian highlighted the significant potential for expanding cooperation, noting the various opportunities for collaboration between Iran and Armenia. He expressed optimism that ties between the two nations would broaden across all sectors.
Emphasizing the necessity of mutual engagement due to the countries' shared border, Pezeshkian stated that Iran and Armenia should be able to interact and cooperate in various areas. He also underscored the need for coordination, mutual support, and sustained communication, which would help build mutual trust, deepen understanding, and fortify bilateral relations.
Pezeshkian reiterated the importance of maintaining stable and enduring bilateral ties, affirming Iran's readiness to expand cooperation with Armenia in multiple fields.
