Abu Dhabi:Strait of Hormuz The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy has reiterated its warning to vessels violating shipping guidelines by attempting to navigate through a restricted zone south of the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the IRGC Navy emphasized that any vessel using an unauthorized route in the strait will be pursued throughout the region and face consequences. This warning was disseminated through a social media post on Friday.

The post followed an incident involving an LPG vessel that experienced an explosion while attempting to transit the unauthorized route on Friday morning. The IRGC has also accused the US military of increasing maritime tensions by misleading shipping and insurance companies, compelling them to operate without proper coordination with the Persian Gulf Strait Authority.
