Tehran:President Masoud Pezeshkian urged the newly appointed ambassadors to prioritize promoting brotherhood, friendship, and unity while defending national interests and expanding ties with host countries.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian made these remarks during a ceremony introducing Iran's new ambassadors to the United Arab Emirates, Greece, Italy, Uganda, and Senegal. He emphasized the importance of strengthening multilateral relations, particularly in the economic field.
The president instructed the ambassadors to foster an environment conducive to enhancing multilateral relations and expanding exchanges in scientific, cultural, economic, sports, and artistic areas with the respective countries.
Citing Quranic verses and Islamic traditions, Pezeshkian underscored the necessity of friendship and Islamic solidarity, urging countries to strengthen ties and avoid conflicts. He expressed hope for the formation of a joint Islamic parliament to aid in the progress and development of Muslim societies and enhance regional security.
Pezeshkian highlighted Islamic unity as crucial against hostilities from the Israeli regime, advocating for the avoidance of religious disputes and the expansion of Islamic cohesion.
The newly appointed ambassadors are Hamidreza Dehghani to the UAE, Mahmoud Heydari to Greece, Ali Akbar Rezaei to Italy, Reza Nourian to Uganda, and Hamid Moradkhani to Senegal. They shared their missions and strategies for expanding multilateral relations and cooperation during the ceremony.
