Tehran: President Masoud Pezeshkian has emphasized Iran's rich history by highlighting Asia's oldest living tree, located in Iran.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian took to his X account on Saturday to draw attention to the ancient Abarkuh cypress tree, which is believed to be at least 4,500 years old. He noted that this tree stands as a testament to the land that was already recognized as Iran thousands of years ago.

In his message, Pezeshkian aimed to remind the global audience of the deep-rooted Persian civilizations that date back millennia. The cypress tree, also known as the Zoroastrian Sarv, is situated in the city of Abarkuh in Iran's Yazd Province.
