Tehran: Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian has extended his congratulations to Tajikistan on the occasion of its Independence Day, emphasizing that Tehran has prioritized the expansion of comprehensive cooperation with Dushanbe as a key foreign policy agenda.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a message addressed to President Emomali Rahmon, Pezeshkian expressed his felicitations to the Tajik leader and the citizens on the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's independence, celebrated on September 9. He highlighted the occasion as a significant milestone symbolizing national sovereignty and the beginning of transformative developments toward the country's growth and prosperity.

Pezeshkian remarked on the determination and resolve of the Tajik people in their quest for independence, dignity, and pride, noting that this achievement resonates with those who value the shared culture and civilization.
