Tehran: President Masoud Pezeshkian says that maintaining national unity and cohesion in the face of enmities and external pressure was the most important message delivered by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei during a recent seven-hour meeting. Pezeshkian said on Monday that the recent meeting covered the country's main domestic and foreign policy challenges, including people's livelihoods, employment and housing, as well as problems arising from sanctions.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian emphasized that the Leader's primary recommendation was to preserve unity and cohesion. He shared this insight during a meeting with political party leaders and politicians at the Interior Ministry. Pezeshkian noted that Ayatollah Khamenei was in full health during the meeting and that he had the opportunity to discuss his concerns and problems. The Leader listened attentively and offered guidance on various issues.
Pezeshkian described the meeting as very good, stating that he spent about seven hours with the Leader, discussing all of the country's current issues. The discussions highlighted how the government and people had withstood pressures and stressed the importance of unity in addressing the nation's challenges.
Pezeshkian also mentioned Ayatollah Khamenei's warning that Iran's adversaries were attempting to create divisions within the country, making national cohesion especially crucial. The official website of the Leader confirmed on Sunday that Pezeshkian had met and held talks with Ayatollah Khamenei as he entered the third year of his presidency.
