Tehran: In a message commemorating the National Day of Sa'adi, the renowned Iranian poet, Iran's President emphasized the necessity of revisiting the thoughts of the prominent cultural figure.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a message marking the commemoration of Sa'adi Shirazi, Masoud Pezeshkian highlighted the poet's enduring role in strengthening Iranian-Islamic culture and civilization and underscored the importance of re-evaluating and utilizing Sa'adi's intellectual and moral legacy to face the current challenges.
The President further characterized Saadi as one of the architects of Iranian culture and civilization.
'Today, amidst the wars and chaos where the 'civilization-destroying' American-Zionist enemy has targeted the identity and existence of the Iranian nation, it is imperative that we prioritize turning to the profound thoughts of Sa'adi more than ever. It is by leaning on such a precious heritage that Iran and Iranians have endured throughout history and played a transformative role in the human world,' President Pezeshkian said in his message.
