Mehrestan:A police officer was killed in a terrorist attack on a police vehicle in Mehrestan County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, southeastern Iran.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Sistan and Baluchestan Police Information Center announced that First Sergeant Mohammad-Ali Shahriari was martyred in the attack.

The armed terrorists fled the scene, and efforts to identify and arrest those responsible are ongoing. Mehrestan County is situated in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, which is in southeastern Iran.
