Tehran: President Masoud Pezeshkian has criticized parties accusing Iran of human rights violations, labeling them as entities responsible for widespread death and destruction.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, President Pezeshkian highlighted the irony of these accusations during a speech at a medical sciences ceremony in Tehran. He pointed out that those who have disrupted regional peace and caused mass casualties, including the deaths of over 18,000 children and nearly 10,000 women in Gaza, have positioned themselves as defenders of human rights while simultaneously accusing Iran of violations.

The president described the situation as "unjust to the extreme," arguing that those who claim to advocate for human rights should not overlook their own actions. He acknowledged that Iran faces its own challenges, rhetorically questioning who does not face such issues.

Emphasizing a path forward, Pezeshkian called on Iran's scientific community to help tackle the nation's internal challenges, suggesting that reliance on scientific advancement is key to overcoming obstacles.
