Hanoi:Tehran President Masoud Pezeshkian has left for Turkmenistan to participate in the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Environmental Summit of the Heads of Caspian Sea Littoral States.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian departed on Thursday and was seen off at the airport by First Vice President Mohammad-Reza Aref and Hojjatoleslam Mohsen Qomi, Deputy for International Relations at the Office of the Leader.

During his visit, Pezeshkian is expected to hold meetings with the heads of some of the participating countries on the sidelines of the summits. Additionally, he plans to visit an exhibition showcasing the achievements of the CIS and Iran.
