Tehran:Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized Iran's firm resolve in self-defense, presenting the nation's conditions and considerations in an operational plan to mediators.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi highlighted the steadfastness of the Islamic Republic of Iran during a meeting with members of the Iranian Parliament, including Ali Babaei Karnami, head of the Social Commission. The meeting featured a comprehensive report on discussions from Iran's delegation visit to the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Araghchi noted that the UN General Assembly summit allowed Iran to articulate its positions clearly, backed by national resistance. Iran's delegation, led by him and President Masoud Pezeshkian, engaged in consultations with various countries. The opportunity was used to present a seven-day plan aimed at restoring security to the Strait of Hormuz.

The Foreign Minister elaborated on Iran's approach, emphasizing the dual focus on self-defense and diplomacy to secure national interests and security. He discussed various foreign policy and national security issues, including economic diplomacy, neutralizing sanctions, and documenting war crimes by the US and the Zionist regime.

Iranian Parliament members commended the diplomatic efforts and stressed the importance of maintaining national unity and supporting both military and diplomatic efforts to defend Iran's sovereignty.
