Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has described Iran and Pakistan as two 'powerful countries in the region that possess immense human capacities and rich resources'. Pezeshkian made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, President Pezeshkian emphasized the potential benefits of combining the capacities of Iran and Pakistan to address their needs through domestic and regional capabilities. He highlighted the significance of the frequent meetings between senior officials from both governments as evidence of ongoing interaction between Muslim countries in response to increased US interventions in the region.

The Iranian president stressed the importance of joint investments and enhancing ties between various sectors of the two countries. He pointed out that facilitating economic cooperation and expanding interactions could further deepen the relations between Tehran and Islamabad.

Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed that the relations between Iran and Pakistan have never been stronger. He affirmed Islamabad's determination to further develop and enhance cooperation with Tehran across all fields.
