President Pezeshkian: Iran’s Success Lies in National Unity, Presence of People

Tehran: President Masoud Pezeshkian says Iran’s success lies in national unity and the active participation of the people in national affairs. In a speech on the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution at Tehran’s Azadi Square on Monday, President Pezeshkian said the Iranian people expelled tyrants and oppressors from the country on this day 46 years ago.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the president emphasized that the philosophy and secret of Iran’s victory and success is the unity, cohesion, and presence of the people on the national stage. He highlighted that all the people of Iran moved with strength, cohesion, and unity, successfully cutting off the hands of foreigners from the country. Pezeshkian warned that enemies seek to create division and discord, aiming to instill the perception that Iran has been weakened. However, he assured that with the prudence and wisdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the people’s presence, the enemies’ dreams will not come true.

Pezeshkian reiterated that the Iranian people have stood firm against bullying, and the enemies’ conspiracies will not succeed. Iran, he continued, will resist all of the enemies’ conspiracies under the leadership of Ayatollah Khamenei, declaring that their adversaries will take all of their dreams and aspirations to the grave. He also addressed accusations against Iran, stating, ‘They call us terrorists yet they themselves are the terrorists,’ asserting that Iran is a victim of terrorism.

In another part of his speech, Pezeshkian dismissed U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim of seeking talks with Iran while simultaneously undermining the Islamic Republic. He criticized the revival of Washington’s ‘maximum pressure’ campaign against Iran, questioning the sincerity of the U.S.’s negotiation intentions. He further criticized U.S. claims of Iran destabilizing the region, arguing that ‘Israel, with American backing, is the real source of insecurity.’

Referring to the International Criminal Court’s case against Israeli leaders over alleged war crimes, Pezeshkian condemned the U.S. for defending Israel while opposing the court. He questioned who is truly responsible for the disruption, massacre, and destruction in the region, asking what free-minded person could accept the bombing of civilians.

Pezeshkian concluded by emphasizing the need for national unity, echoing the sentiments of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, and Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei. He asserted that standing together will enable Iran to overcome all challenges, and the U.S. will only dream of bringing the nation down. Addressing Iranians, the president pledged to combat injustice, poverty, and economic hardship with the guidance of the country’s Leader.
