President Urges Collective Action to Solve the Nation’s Problems

Tehran: President Masoud Pezeshkian has once again stressed the need for national unity and constructive engagement to deal with challenges faced by the Islamic Republic of Iran. Addressing the Student Day ceremony at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran on Sunday, Pezeshkian said it was essential that everyone comes forward to solve the problems through harmony and unity.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the President emphasized the need for transparency and accountability, stating that people must be accountable for the problems they have created. “We are all guilty of creating today’s problems, left or right, with differences or indifferences,” he said. Pezeshkian cited imbalances in electricity, water, money, environment, and culture as persistent issues exacerbated by officials not listening to complaints.

Pezeshkian advised both officials and the public to engage in logical discourse without resorting to insults. He highlighted the importance of refraining from slander and ridicule, warning that such actions are cruel. Quoting the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, he reminded the audience that all are standing by Iran and urged against viewing fellow countrymen as foreigners due to differing opinions.

In response to student objections, Pezeshkian advocated for patience and tolerance of differing views. He acknowledged that students speaking at the event were focused on reforming the country, albeit from varying perspectives. He stressed the importance of teaching teamwork to students and youth, calling them the country’s main capital.

Prior to Pezeshkian’s speech, students raised questions and concerns about national issues, including political, economic, social, and cultural matters, which the President addressed in his remarks.
