Tehran: Guesthouses and eco-lodges on Qeshm Island play a crucial role in empowering local communities by sustainably utilizing natural resources, while also fostering business clusters that support tourism development on the island.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Qeshm Island, known for its rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes, boasts numerous guesthouses and eco-lodges. These accommodations offer visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the authentic lifestyle of southern Iran, creating a truly unforgettable experience.

One of the most distinctive features of the eco-lodges in the western part of the island is their traditional architecture, which incorporates elements inspired by the island’s natural environment and climate. This unique charm draws in many tourists and motivates the owners to preserve this traditional way of life.

The guesthouses and eco-lodges on Qeshm Island are managed to provide excellent service to guests while honoring the local culture and traditions. They also play a vital role in introducing visitors to the island’s ancient history.

Currently, 149 eco-lodges are operating on the largest island in the Persian Gulf, welcoming hundreds of thousands of domestic and international tourists each year.

Qeshm Island, with an area of 1,500 square kilometers, stretches parallel to the southern coast of Iran along the Strait of Hormuz. It is 135 kilometers long, has an average width of 11 kilometers, is part of Hormozgan Province, and boasts a 300-kilometer coastline.

Qeshm County, which includes the islands of Qeshm and Larak, has a population of approximately 190,000 people.
