Beirut: Sheikh Maher Hammoud, head of the International Union of Resistance Scholars, has emphasized the crucial role played by the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in bolstering the resilience of Palestinian resistance in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Hammoud highlighted in an interview that Ayatollah Khamenei's unwavering support was fundamental to the persistence of what he termed as 'legendary resilience' among Palestinians. He stressed that without the leader's backing, the resistance efforts in Gaza and the West Bank might not have achieved their current form.

Hammoud pointed out that Ayatollah Khamenei prioritized the Palestinian cause, undertaking numerous initiatives in its support, many of which were not disclosed to the public. The cleric noted that the martyred leader consistently advocated for Islamic unity and a cohesive political stance against the influences of the United States and Israel, as well as their alleged plans to dominate the region and exploit its resources.

Furthermore, Hammoud described Ayatollah Khamenei as an inspiring figure who reinstated the significance of Palestine within the Islamic faith, political discourse, and the broader civilizational vision of the Muslim community.
