New york: Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya has issued a stark warning that any military action against Iran could result in dangerous consequences for the entire region. Nebenzya emphasized the need for the United States and its allies to adopt a more constructive approach, highlighting that military solutions are neither acceptable nor safe, as they could lead to regional instability.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Nebenzya pointed out that at the start of the year, there was a renewed effort to criticize Iran, with protests within the country being used as a focal point for accusations. He mentioned that on January 15, a Security Council meeting was convened at the request of the United States, where Western delegations primarily focused on condemning Tehran.

Nebenzya further noted that Russia, along with other colleagues in the Council, steered the conversation back to its core mandate, emphasizing the real threats to international peace and security. He underscored the dangers posed by direct threats to use force against Iran and interference in its domestic affairs.
