Geneva: Iranian and US delegations have wrapped up their third round of indirect talks on nuclear and sanctions removal topics in Geneva, Switzerland.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei confirmed the end of the second sitting of the third round of talks on Thursday. The discussions, like the previous two rounds, were mediated by Oman's top diplomat, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi.

The Iranian delegation was led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, while the American team was represented by US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner. After three hours of talks, the two sides took a break to consult with their respective capitals on the issues discussed, before resuming negotiations for about two hours.

Earlier, Baqaei mentioned to reporters on the sidelines of the talks that important and operational proposals were presented regarding nuclear issues and the lifting of sanctions. Both delegations required consultations with their capitals to proceed further.
