Tehran: Seven members of the Iranian Army, including career personnel and conscripts, have been killed in a US missile strike on a military base in southeastern Iran, according to an Army statement.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Army reported that the attack occurred early Wednesday when the US military launched 13 missiles at a base occupied by the Iranian Army's 388th Iranshahr Brigade. The incident took place in Bampur County, located in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.

The Army statement further detailed that 13 other individuals sustained injuries as a result of the missile strike.
