Tehran: Caretaker Defense Minister Brigadier General Majid Ebn al-Reza has emphasized that space technology, intelligence superiority, the defense economy, and industrial resilience are fundamental components of Iran's strategic military preparations for future conflicts.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ebn al-Reza, speaking at a gathering of defense industry scientists on Saturday, outlined the priorities that will shape the future of warfare for Iran. He underscored the importance of space-based technologies, intelligence superiority, economic strategies in defense, and a robust industrial infrastructure as key areas of focus for the country's defense industry.

Ebn al-Reza cautioned against complacency stemming from analyses suggesting that adversaries have reached a strategic deadlock. He noted, "Many analysts may today speak of the enemy's confusion, strategic deadlock, and narrowing options as a result of the success of our Armed Forces and its failure to achieve its objectives. However, such assessments must not lead us to complacency or inaction. The defense industry of the Islamic Republic of Iran must continue its path of progress, innovation, and preparedness with even greater momentum than before."

He elaborated on the role of space-based technologies, identifying them as crucial for battlefield guidance, navigation, and command. Intelligence superiority, he stated, is fundamental to achieving an operational advantage prior to any military engagement.

The acting defense minister also highlighted the significance of a robust defense economy. He advocated for the production of effective, low-cost, agile, and mass-producible equipment through indigenization. Additionally, Ebn al-Reza pointed to the potential of leveraging defense technologies across sectors such as transportation, energy, and communications to foster national development.
