Tehran:Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has pledged that those responsible for the murder of Nosrat Eftekhari, a senior police official in Sistan-Baluchestan Province, will be brought to justice. Eftekhari was recognized for her work in addressing the problems of local communities and enhancing social cohesion.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ghalibaf emphasized Eftekhari's commitment to public service, describing her as a well-educated and devoted individual who worked in remote and underserved areas. Her efforts focused on promoting trust and solidarity among local communities and ethnic groups.

The assassination, which Ghalibaf referred to as a terrorist attack, highlighted the challenges faced by those working to improve Iran's security and social fabric. He urged authorities to thoroughly investigate the case and ensure that all individuals involved in the attack are identified and punished.

Ghalibaf indicated that the targeting of public servants demonstrates the attackers' strategic desperation and warned that such acts would have repercussions. He stressed the importance of continuing direct engagement with communities, addressing deprivation, and strengthening unity among ethnic and religious groups as a tribute to Eftekhari's legacy.

He expressed his condolences to Eftekhari's family, colleagues, fellow officers, and the people of Sistan-Baluchestan and Iran, wishing patience and peace for her grieving relatives.
