Tehran: President Masoud Pezeshkian has condemned the recent US-Israeli attacks on Iran's cultural and historical sites, labeling the actions as contrary to international principles and norms. He described the assaults as indicative of a destructive approach by enemies towards the civilizational identity of nations.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during a visit to the Sa'dabad Cultural-Historical Complex in Tehran on Friday, President Pezeshkian examined the sections damaged during the recent attacks. He emphasized the need for documenting the damage and urged for legal action to be pursued through international forums and mechanisms.
President Pezeshkian stressed the importance of preserving and revitalizing Iran's historical, cultural, and diplomatic sites. He called for the reconstruction of the damaged sections of the complex to be carried out with high precision and quality, as swiftly as possible.
He further reiterated the necessity for the formal registration, documentation, and legal pursuit of the damage within international organizations and frameworks, underscoring the commitment to safeguarding Iran's cultural heritage.
