Tehran: The historical city of Nushabad in Kashan, central Iran, has hosted one of the country's largest outdoor Ta'zieh performances on the 11th day of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic lunar year, attracting thousands of visitors from across Iran.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the reenactment of the martyrdom of Imam Hossein (AS) and the procession of the captives of Karbala were performed with the widespread participation of mourners and pilgrims who traveled to Nushabad to attend Iran's prominent Ashura rituals.
