London: On the 78th anniversary of the Nakba, thousands of supporters of Palestine gathered in central London to protest against the occupation, the ongoing genocide in Gaza, and Britain's military-political support for the Zionist regime. The demonstrators, waving Palestinian flags and holding anti-war placards, marched through the city, demanding freedom for Palestine, an end to the Gaza siege, and a cessation of arms sales to Tel Aviv.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, protesters accused the British government of being complicit in the violence against Palestinians due to its unwavering support for the Zionist regime. The march initiated in west London and proceeded towards key government and diplomatic areas on Pall Mall and Waterloo Place, amplifying the protesters' demands.

The rally, titled 'Nakba 78,' was organized by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign and received backing from various anti-war and anti-racism groups. Among the participants were also a group of Iranians residing in the UK, who highlighted the right of return for Palestinian refugees and criticized the West's perceived double standards on human rights.

The term Nakba refers to the systematic dispossession and displacement of Palestinians during the years 1947 to 1949 by the Zionist regime, a historical event that continues to fuel protests and demands for justice and recognition of Palestinian rights.
