Tehran: Southern Lebanon came under a fresh wave of heavy Israeli air and artillery strikes on Saturday, targeting multiple towns and areas. The Israeli army has pressed ahead with air raids and ground operations in locations across southern Lebanon since Saturday morning, Israeli media reported. The strikes were accompanied by heavy shelling that set several areas ablaze.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Lebanon's Health Ministry said the death toll from Israeli attacks since March 2 has risen to 2,969, with 9,112 others being wounded, figures reflecting rising human casualties amid intensifying confrontations.
