Top Iranian and Omani Diplomats Discuss Regional Developments Over Phone

Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Omani counterpart, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi have assessed bilateral relations and the current developments in the region over phone. During the phone call on Sunday, Araghchi and Al Busaidi exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual concerns, including the ongoing diplomatic initiatives on ending the US-Israeli imposed war on Iran.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the top Iranian diplomat also briefed the Omani foreign minister on the recently delivered new proposal to Pakistan, which acts as a mediator for negotiations with the United States. The proposal aims at permanently ending the war and establishing peace in the region.

Top officials from Iran and Oman often consult on bilateral and regional issues as the two countries enjoy not only friendly and brotherly relations, but also have an undefined stretch of maritime boundary in the Persian Gulf.
