Trump Predicts Cuba’s Imminent Collapse, Cites Military Actions Against Iran

Washington: US President Donald Trump has reiterated that Cuba is "next" after the military operation against Iran and stated that the Caribbean nation will soon face a downfall. "Cuba is going to be next," Trump informed reporters aboard Air Force One during his journey to Washington, DC on Sunday. He characterized Cuba as "a mess," forecasting its rapid failure and promising US assistance for the Cuban American community.

According to TRTworld.com, Trump expressed no opposition to a New York Times report on a Russian oil tanker being permitted to reach Cuba. "We don't mind having somebody get a boatload because they have to survive," he commented. Trump clarified that if any country, including Russia, wants to send oil to Cuba, he would not object.

When questioned about the potential advantage this could offer Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump dismissed any concerns. He remarked, "He loses one boatload of oil. That's all it is. It's fine." Trump emphasized that the provision of oil would not alter Cuba's situation due to its "bad regime" and "very bad and corrupt leadership."

Trump further stated that allowing oil shipments, whether from Russia or other countries, was acceptable as it fulfills basic needs like heating and cooling for the Cuban people.
