Abu dhabi: The United Arab Emirates on Tuesday issued a brief phone alert for "potential missile threats," marking the first such alarm since July. The alert advised residents to "immediately seek a safe place in the closest secure building" due to the current situation. The alert was lifted shortly after its issuance.

According to Deutsche Welle, the Ministry of Defense confirmed that it had detected missiles "directed toward the country" for the first time in months. This development comes amidst the ongoing conflict involving Iran, during which UAE sites have been targeted by Iranian missile and drone strikes. These strikes were often retaliatory measures against US and Israeli actions on Iran.
