Tehran: President Masoud Pezeshkian has declared that Iran's internal unity and cohesion compelled its adversaries to concede, accept the rights of the Iranian nation, and return to the negotiating table. Pezeshkian made these remarks during a speech commemorating the anniversary of Mostafa Chamran's martyrdom in 1981 and the establishment of the Professors Basij Organization.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Pezeshkian emphasized the significance of national solidarity as the country's greatest source of strength. He asserted, "Our unity and cohesion forced the enemy to surrender and brought them to the negotiating table." The president highlighted the importance of continuing to create opportunities for societal advancement, noting that the international community's respect for Iran stems from the people's support for the government and their refusal to oppose the nation's interests.

Pezeshkian further elaborated, stating that the enemy underestimated Iran's internal unity, which ultimately led to their dialogue. His comments follow the recent signing of a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, aimed at ending the US-Israeli-imposed conflict against Iran. The agreement was signed digitally by Pezeshkian and US President Donald Trump.

The president also cautioned against the risks of losing national solidarity, warning that it would impede the country's development. He stressed, "If we lose our unity and cohesion, we will get nowhere, because our most important strength is our unity with one another and our unity with the people." Pezeshkian concluded by praising the Iranian populace's role in managing the imposed war, crediting the public's Basiji spirit for securing victory.
