Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasizes Iran's commitment to promoting unity and empathy among Muslims, aligning with the teachings of the late founder of the Islamic Republic and the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution. Speaking during a ceremony celebrating the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Araghchi highlighted that the unity of the Islamic world remains a central theme in Iran's foreign policy.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi underscored the importance that both Imam Khomeini and Martyr Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei placed on Islamic unity, a principle that has consistently guided Iran since the Islamic Revolution. He described the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a symbol of unity, asserting that this has been a focus for Iran's international relations with Islamic countries.

The foreign minister identified major Muslim nations like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, and Pakistan as key players, yet emphasized that all Islamic nations are part of a larger family, the Islamic world. "When we talk about unity, it does not mean all countries are of the same shape, color, and on the same path," he remarked, highlighting the acceptance of diversity within unity.

Araghchi addressed the natural occurrence of differences among nations but stressed the importance of prioritizing a collective identity and solidarity against external hegemonic influences. He praised the Iranian people's role in teaching the Islamic world about unity, particularly in the face of recent US-Israeli conflicts, including the 40-day war, demonstrating resilience against oppression through unity.

In his speech, Araghchi congratulated the Islamic community on the Prophet's birth anniversary and paid homage to Iran's martyrs, acknowledging their sacrifices from various regions and conflicts. He highlighted Iran's achievements in diplomatic and military arenas, noting the global recognition of the country's dignity and resilience.
