Tehran: Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) spokesperson Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi has declared that the United States failed to achieve all of its stated objectives in its war against Iran, reaching a point of desperation in less than 20 days and seeking intermediaries to negotiate an end to the conflict.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Mohebbi, in an interview on Tuesday, emphasized the unprecedented speed at which the US objectives declined, leading the country to desperation in its efforts to meet its goals. Mohebbi drew comparisons with previous US military engagements, noting that the US fought in Vietnam for nearly 20 years before suffering defeat and in Korea for three years before being compelled to retreat.

"In Iran, however, after fighting for less than 20 days, it reached a point of desperation and began seeking intermediaries for negotiations and an end to the war," Mohebbi stated. He emphasized that Washington's attempts to alter Iran's political system and force an unconditional surrender were unsuccessful.

Mohebbi disclosed that the US had broader ambitions beyond political change, including the seizure of Iran's resources and oil wells, the elimination of its nuclear capabilities and missile power, and the partitioning of parts of the country to be handed over to others. He mentioned that while these were among the US stated objectives, there were also unstated objectives that were not achieved.

He further highlighted the need for these developments to be properly explained and documented, urging journalists and media outlets to play a crucial role in this regard.
