Accra:Iranian MP Hassanali Akhlaghi-Amiri, a member of the Cultural Commission of Iran's Parliament, has stated that attempts by the US Secretary of State to distort Iran's history are unlikely to influence global public opinion or alter the world's perception of Iran.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Akhlaghi-Amiri expressed that such remarks from US officials are rooted in either ignorance or hostility. He emphasized Iran's significant contributions to civilization across various fields and its establishment of a model of religious democracy following the Islamic Revolution.
He further accused the United States of seeking to weaken and divide Iran, suggesting that its nuclear and missile programs are used as mere pretexts for this objective. Akhlaghi-Amiri also advocated for Iran to enhance its bilateral and multilateral diplomatic efforts and to strengthen its role in international forums. He noted that some foreign officials have acknowledged the resilience of the Iranian people in the face of US actions.
