Tehran: The Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution (SCCR) says the scientific terrorism committed by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran is aimed at impeding the country’s progress.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the SCCR, in a statement on Sunday, honored and paid tribute to university professors and scientists who were assassinated during the recent 12-day imposed war. The statement emphasized the continuation of the path of the martyrs until reaching the peaks of progress.

The SCCR highlighted that the scientific terrorism launched by enemies against the Islamic Republic was a clear sign of their inhuman nature of domination and hegemony. It announced full support for the continuation of research efforts to strengthen Iran.

Commending professors, scientists, and others, the SCCR noted that these national heroes became the targets of state terrorism by the US and Israel due to their efforts to advance Iran’s scientific progress, which began with the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

The Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution rejected the notion that the institution of knowledge could be destroyed by an airstrike on the residence of an academic or that intimidation and terror would hamper the progress made by Iran.

The statement further claimed that the US-Israeli aggression revealed that international institutions, from the United Nations to the International Atomic Energy Agency, are mere theaters where human and legal concepts are manipulated in a frightening manner.

The SCCR also criticized some world powers for ignoring the outcry of billions of people, asserting that their possession of nuclear bombs has given them the right to veto demands such as a halt to bombing, humiliation, hunger, and terror from Gaza and Lebanon to Iraq and Syria, and Yemen, from Afghanistan to Libya and Sudan.
