Tehran: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has declared that the United States must halt its illegal and interventionist activities against Iran. In his weekly briefing on Monday, Baqaei emphasized that an understanding between Tehran and Washington was reached and signed on June 17 at the highest level. However, just 21 days later, the United States allegedly breached the agreement by resuming or intensifying unlawful actions, including implementing a naval blockade and engaging in economic warfare.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Baqaei articulated that the path forward for the United States is clear: it must cease all illegal and interventionist actions against Iran, offer compensation for its alleged transgressions, and end the sanctions and economic warfare it has initiated. He further stated that the regional developments are straightforward, indicating that as long as the United States persists in its aggressive actions, including the naval blockade and other measures that contravene international law and are considered acts of aggression, Iran will resolutely continue any necessary responsive actions.
