Tehran: Ali Larijani, a senior Advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has emphasized that the United States should provide compensation for its withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) to facilitate the formation of a new agreement. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Larijani expressed his views on the nuclear issue in a post on X, stating that the US's decision to exit the JCPOA inflicted damage on Iran. He highlighted the subsequent escalation in Iran's production of 60% enriched uranium, indicating that the situation between the two nations has evolved significantly. Larijani further argued that if the current US administration maintains that its primary concern is Iran's potential development of nuclear weapons, it should be willing to meet Iran's stipulated conditions. This includes agreeing to compensation as a critical component for negotiating a new deal.
