Tehran: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has deplored the US Central Command (CENTCOM) for denying American bombing of civilians on Sirik Island, stating that even the US propaganda machine has failed to refute this horrifying reality of its military.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Baqaei reminded Hawkins of prior documented US attacks in Afghanistan and Iraq, citing Kakarak in 2002, Mukaradeeb in 2004, and Deh Bala and Wech Baghtu in 2008, which resulted in civilian deaths, including women and children. Baqaei continued to specify more US crimes that CENTCOM allegedly overlooks.

He highlighted how even "Homeland," an American television series, depicted a US drone strike on a wedding in Pakistan that killed around 40 civilians. Baqaei emphasized that Sirik is not fiction; the civilians and victims are real. He criticized the US military's claim of never targeting civilians as an assertion too horrifying for even American propaganda to make.

Several people were killed and dozens injured after the US military targeted a wedding ceremony in Iran's Sirik with missiles overnight Tuesday.
