Tehran: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has declared that 'the United States' catalogue of atrocities' against the Iranian nation is now complete following the recent attack on a wedding in the Kuhestak Port of Sirik, located in southern Iran.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Baqaei made these remarks in a post on X late Tuesday, just hours after the US conducted strikes on multiple locations in Iran, including the southern Hormuzgan Province. One of the locations targeted in Hormuzgan was Kuhestak Port, where a wedding celebration was disrupted by a strike, resulting in the death of at least five people, including a child.

Baqaei criticized the US, stating, 'The United States' catalogue of atrocities against the nation of Iran is now complete: a residential home in Kuhestak, Sirik, was brutally attacked tonight while families were celebrating a wedding. More than 50 innocent men, women and children were martyred or wounded.'

He further linked the latest incident to 'the chain of atrocities' previously committed by the US in Minab, Lamerd, and Qeshm Island. He condemned these actions as not being separate from the strikes on military targets justified through deceptive means.

Baqaei emphasized the dangers of normalizing such bombings and the peril of silent complicity, asserting, 'Iran will respond to these savage crimes with firmness.' He urged the international community to not remain inactive, warning that silence in the face of such brutality might have severe consequences.

Finally, Baqaei called out governments and international institutions that remain silent or seek to justify the acts, cautioning that their silence equates to complicity. He stressed that ignoring injustice only serves to encourage the perpetrators of such crimes.
