Tehran: Iranian Army spokesperson Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami-Nia says the US-Israeli war on Iran demonstrated that the United States cannot appear as a legitimate superpower, arguing that the world is moving toward a 'post-American' order. Speaking at a conference on Arabic calligraphy and the Prophet Muhammad's life in Tehran on Wednesday, Akrami-Nia said the United States has been faced with serious challenges in both its military capabilities and its soft power and morality, resulting in a decline in its standing.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Akrami-Nia emphasized that more than three decades after the collapse of the bipolar world order, the world is witnessing an accelerating move toward multilateralism and a multipolar order. 'In other words, the world is moving from the period of Western and United States hegemony toward a post-American and post-Western order in which countries have greater freedom of action and independence in pursuing their national security and interests,' he said.

Akrami-Nia added that the US adopted 'aggressive' and 'illegal' behavior in an attempt to preserve its hegemony. He cited disregard for international rules, including the prohibition of the use of force and aggression, interference in other countries' internal affairs, and support for Israel as factors that have weakened Washington's position in the international system.
