Khuzestan: Wheat harvesting in Khuzestan begins in Spring and ends within a 40-day period. Harvesting starts in the southern regions of the province, including Hendijan, Mahshahr, Shadegan, and Khorramshahr, and then gradually extends to the central and western areas of Khuzestan. Finally, wheat harvesting begins in the cold regions of Izeh, Baghmalek, and Dezpart.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, with an annual production of 17.5 million tons of agricultural, horticultural, livestock, fishery, and honey products - equivalent to 14% of the country's total agricultural output - Khuzestan ranks first.
