Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has accused US government officials of attempting to manipulate energy markets through media channels for their own benefit.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi made these claims in a post on X, asserting that there are significant efforts underway to disrupt energy markets. He suggested that US government elements are exploiting "gullible media" to sway energy prices, aiming for personal gain and to keep US President Donald Trump entangled in what he described as a "losing war."

Araghchi further alleged that actors sympathetic to Israel are contributing to the conflict by providing overly optimistic evaluations of the situation. He emphasized that these actions ultimately impact American consumers, who are experiencing the consequences firsthand.
