Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized that the United States has no choice but to engage the Iranian people respectfully and seek solutions based on justice and dignity, dismissing US threats of increased economic sanctions.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi made these remarks at a ceremony in Tehran where cabinet members reaffirmed their allegiance to the ideals of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini. He described US President Donald Trump's economic pressure as a continuation of Washington's longstanding policy of pressure and intimidation.

Araghchi criticized Trump's economic measures as a repetitive scenario of bullying, stating that Iran is familiar with such tactics and knows how to respond. He suggested that Washington's threats indicate a lack of strategy in dealing with Iran, leading to repeated measures against the Iranian populace.

He stressed the importance of respectful dialogue, highlighting that there is no alternative but to engage with the Iranian people with justice and dignity in mind. When questioned about concerns over economic pressures, Araghchi confidently stated that Tehran is unfazed by such threats, pointing out the failure of previous US actions, including blockades and military moves.
