Vienna: In a series of strategic discussions, Araghchi, a key Iranian diplomat, has continued his consultations with the foreign ministers of several member countries of the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) Board of Governors. These discussions come in light of a pending resolution against Iran, which Araghchi asserted would prompt countermeasures from Iran if approved. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi has been actively reaching out to foreign ministers, including those from Ghana, the current head of the council, Egypt, and Thailand. He urged these member states to oppose the resolution put forth by three European countries. Araghchi's appeal emphasized the importance of preventing the IAEA Board of Governors from becoming a venue to further political objectives that may not align with the agency's mission. In his communications, Araghchi highlighted Iran's constructive engagement with the IAEA, referencing recent agreements achieved during the Director General's visit to Tehr an. He made it clear that any resolution against Iran would be met with definitive counteractions from Iran, underscoring the gravity of the situation and the potential for escalating tensions.
